Volunteering Opportunities

Bike/Walk Summerville is an entirely volunteer-run organization, and we are always looking for fellow advocates!

Assist in the Slow Roll

Help make the Slow Roll safe for all!

Age Minimum: 16 w/ Parent Permission, 18+ for all

Roles Include:

• Ride Leader: Lead the slow roll through the ride route, controlling the pace and using commands to guide the group to our destination safely!

• Ride Tail: Being the “eyes in the back of our head” , make sure that no rider gets left behind!

• Traffic Control: Stop traffic to let the Slow Roll Ride ahead of the group in advance of major roadways

• Check-In Greeter + Sweeper: Make incoming riders feel welcome while checking them in, and fill in gaps in the middle of the ride

Represent Bike/Walk Summerville by tabling at our Bike Booth!

Roles Include:

• Handing out literature

• Spreading the word about Bike/Walk Summerville

• Collecting emails, sharing stories heard from the booth
